Danny Boyd, an original member of the Bluegrass Tradition and award winning singer and instrumentalist, plays banjo, guitar and dobro as well as being a key vocalist for the group. He has played with the Bluegrass Tradition when the band won first at the prestigious Galax Fiddlers' Convention on two separate occasions, the first time as the Band's guitar player and most recently during the 66th Annual (2001) Convention as the Band's banjo player.

Jonathan Boyd (Danny's son) is an award winning bassist and bass singer for the band. Jonathan is a rising senior at Carroll County High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society, plays both trap set and bass in the school jazz band. Jonathan won his first award on the acoustic bass after playing less than one year.

Greg Jones is a multi-award winning mandolin player and vocalist for the band. Greg began playing mandolin at the age of 15. Such players as Sam Bush, Doyle Lawson, David Grisman, Bill Monroe and several family members influenced him. Since the 80s Greg has been among the finalist at fiddlers conventions in both the Virginia and North Carolina areas. He has played in several different bands including Borderline, Acoustic Blend, Crosswind and Piedmont Grass. In 1994 he joined a gospel group call Cornerstone. This band went on to record a live album. Greg joined the Bluegrass Tradition Band in 2000 and has been a valuable part of this group since that time.
